New Members for Cradle Coast Tourism Executive

The advisory group to the Cradle Coast regional tourism organisation has recently added two new members with extensive experience in accommodation and events management to help guide the industry in the region.

CCTE Chairman Rod Stendrup has announced the appointment of Carolyn Nissen, from Strahan, and Michael Bonney, of Ulverstone, to the committee, part of the Cradle Coast Authority.
Mr Stendrup said they would replace two members of the group who had recently resigned due to personal reasons.
“I want to welcome both Carolyn and Michael to the CCTE, they will bring a range of skills and experience to the group and will help to provide support and insight into the industry in the region,” Mr Stendrup said.

Ms Nissen is the operator of Ormiston House at Strahan and has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, particularly in marketing and local tourism. Her involvement in the West Coast has
been extensive, including being the current chair of the Western Wilderness Tourism Association and working at a variety of levels to develop the local industry.

Mr Bonney is the managing director of Cradle Coast Sports and Events, which runs the Devonport Triathlon, Run Devonport and is involved with a number of other events in the region and around Tasmania.
